Hilton Resort Aruba Review

I have stayed in hotels, motels, resorts, Airbnb's -- you name it. Some of the places I've stayed made me grateful for short vacations. Others -- like the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino -- made me wish a month-long stay was realistic. I don't typically rave about hotels. A hotel is a hotel is a hotel, you know? But when I tell you this resort is straight out of a dream... I'm so serious. As soon as I left, I knew I had to write an article about it.

If you spend any time on social media, I'm sure you've seen the travel accounts posting pictures and videos of faraway tropical paradises. The white sand beaches, clear turquoise water, clear skies, beachy cabanas, and tropical cocktails are enough to make anybody want a few days away from work. As the beach bum I am, I knew I had to find one of these alluring places and book it ASAP.

After a few days of research, I decided on Aruba. I'm an adventurous person (obviously), so I always have to do my research before picking a destination. I need to be sure there's excursions and events and ... enough to occupy me, honestly. Aruba had ATV rides, jet packing, snorkeling, an inflatable water park, and I was sold.

Choosing a hotel wasn't very hard. I get rewards when I stay with Hilton, so I tend to look there first. I looked at a few other hotels first and everything looked pretty similar. To be honest, I was expecting it to be a regular hotel attached to a beach with some cool cabanas and maybe drink service. I was way off.

When we walked in, we were greeted with damp towels and water bottles. We arrived before check in so they stored our bags while we had lunch at Gilligan's Seafood Shack. Yes, the resort has a Seafood Shack IN IT!!!. Between 7 different restaurants/bars in the resort and being a few blocks away from a strip of shops/restaurants, it's guaranteed that you'll be well fed (which is always a requirement for my trips).

The customer service was amazing. The staff was friendly, helpful, and quick. One of my biggest complaints when it comes to hotels/concierges is the time it takes. The concierge knew of excursions and restaurants off the top of her head, and she was able to answer most of our questions without needing to search anything or telling us to search anything. Make sure you do your own research about excursions because a lot of resorts/hotels are partnered with certain companies and therefore will only suggest them. For example, we didn't go with the company that Hilton recommended for UTV rides. We found ours on google and I'm glad we did! It was a one of a kind experience.

The resort has a gym, a playground, a spa, a casino, and two pools. The casino was fun - it would have probably been more fun if I enjoyed gambling. But I will say it was pretty rad being drunk with my mom and getting excited over winning $20. We didn't get a chance to stop by the spa- but we did get a free 5 minute massage in the lobby. Just like any massage, I felt like a whole new person afterwards.

I could write a thousand words about the resort, but I still don't think it would do it justice.
